Search Console shows the queries Google already associates with your pages, making it one of the best sources for grounded expansion ideas.

Start with impressions
Sort pages and queries by impressions to find topics where Google is already testing your content. A growing impression trend can be useful even before clicks arrive.
Look at positions 5–30
Queries in roughly positions 5–30 often deserve inspection. Improve the page when the intent is already covered but the answer, title, examples or internal support can be stronger.
Find unexpected queries
Unexpected queries reveal adjacent language and subtopics. Some belong as new sections; others expose a distinct user goal that the site has not yet served.
Update or create?
Update the existing page when SERP intent overlaps strongly. Create a new destination only when the searcher wants a different outcome or the live results clearly diverge.
Strengthen internal links
Find related pages that can link contextually to the improved destination. Internal links are especially valuable when they explain the relationship rather than using generic anchor text.
