How to Group Keywords Into Pages

Turn a keyword list into a smaller set of destinations by grouping around intent, SERP overlap and user outcome.

Normalize the list

Remove obvious duplicates and irrelevant terms first. Keep variants because they can reveal wording and subquestions, but do not treat each as a future URL.

Tag intent

Tag each term by what the searcher wants: learn, compare, buy, navigate, solve a problem or perform a task. Similar words with different goals belong apart.

Compare SERPs

For ambiguous groups, compare the live results. Strong overlap suggests one destination; very different results suggest separate pages.

Name the destination

Give each cluster a simple page promise. For example, “how to find weak SERPs” is a clearer destination than a folder containing every phrase with the word “weak.”

Quality-check the clusters

Check that no two planned pages chase the same primary intent, every page has enough substance to exist, and each URL fits a logical parent category.
